I cut 12" off the tube and now it fits the dome but the preliminary 16" F/3.2 design no longer fits the tube...
...18" tube 36" long...
Back to the drawing board...

|
|
A fit check of the new 16" F/3.2 astrograph prelimianry design reveals an issue.
The tube is too large and another design will be needed... So its back to Zemax modeling. And it looked good in the CAD model???

Mike brings his New AP 175 to the site for a few nights of imaging September 2012. Mike comments: "It was the first trip to the field in 2 years and the first trip ever with this setup. To me its seems the scope, mount and camera are a perfect match." |
